Hinterland Waterfalls and Rainforest Day Tour
Minimum age: 5
The Byron hinterland is one of the most biodiverse and visually spectacular regions of coastal Australia. Most visitors never see it. This day tour takes small groups to three distinct natural environments: a swimming waterfall accessible via a short forest walk, an ancient rainforest section with 400-year-old fig trees, and a hinterland lookout with panoramic coastal views back toward Byron Bay and beyond. The guide provides environmental and cultural context throughout, drawing on local Indigenous Bundjalung knowledge and ecological science. The pace is unhurried and the group maximum ensures it never feels like a conveyor belt.
