Most visitors to Byron Bay never see the hinterland at night. This tour changes that. Starting at dusk, Rise Up takes small groups into the cave systems and creek valleys of the Rainbow Region where thousands of bioluminescent glow worms illuminate the darkness in blue-green light. The experience combines environmental education about the unique conditions that support glow worm populations with the genuine wonder of standing in near-total darkness surrounded by natural light. A waterfall swimming stop is included where conditions allow.
